My Life in Words

Writing is one of my creative outlets.
Creativity and expression are life lines to finding joy and purpose.
Asking the right questions and using creative outlets to find the answers is part of my toolbag of tricks to maintain my sanity and wellbeing.

Bring me your weary and your broken hearted.

Before a recent sound healing, I asked for direction on who I am being drawn to guide in healing. During the session, the above is the message I was given. I knew I have heard it before and I couldn’t for the life of me figure out where.

Initially when I heard the phrase, I thought I can’t use that it would be like a blasphemy to use the phrase, especially when it sounds like its from the bible. Turning it around in my mind and heart for a little longer, I realised I would not have been given the words if I wasn’t meant to use them and that it didn’t matter who voiced the line originally, it is the intent that matters.

My intent is to guide women (through coaching and the use of some tools I have found helpful in my journey) to joy and ease in life.
Not ease as in lying around taking it easy. More the ease you feel within yourself when you know you are on the right track – even if you have taken the long route to find the track.

The ease in heart and soul and mind when all three parts of your being are back home together, united in one accord and genuinely content with the journey you have started through the second part of your life.

OK, guess what..... I googled it, and what came to me is not word for word, but as I said earlier, its all about the intent.
This is on the statue of liberty, a quote from Emma Lazarus:

“Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed, to me:
I lift my lamp beside the golden door.”

Just as the Statue of Liberty has been a beacon of light guiding travellers home to safety and security, I guide women to a fresh, complete self that has been hidden away unacknowledged and waiting.....to arrive home.
